NIGHT AT DAY

Yahoo had this front page article today about shots taken at night that looked like day time. I took a snap a few years back that accidentally accomplished this feat.

Anyway... on a crappy, cloudy night in the Eug... I figured I'd try it again.

I think it's better achieved when the moon is out. Better light... stars... etc. Not much to make it look like day in that shot other than a lot of bright gray. So I consider this a mostly futile attempt. Especially when you compare it to the Yahoo pics.

One of my video storage drives had a meltdown... I lost everything... hours and hours of work...

Add on top of that a little highway mishap...

There's no way tomorrow isn't better than today... no way at all.

I took this shot back in November of '08. I was on a bike ride cutting through a local park, when I spotted this dude.



He had about a half dozen people surrounding him as he puffed on a pipe, and blew smoke filled bubbles from a tube he had submerged into a bucket of soapy water. It was a charming gimmick, if for only a minute. I snapped about 8 shots... I liked this one the most.

OREGON PEP RALLY

I like both of these so much, I decided to post two.
These are from the Oregon Pep Rally in Scottsdale Arizona tonight.
Sebastian Bach (of Skid Row fame) performed. I'm hoping he's at the game tomorrow... if so, my number one priority is to get a photo with him. I worshiped the ground he walked on... like... 20 years ago.

First day of football practice... closed to the media... so closed, I was pushed back by security several times... eventually all the way to the outside sidewalk... where I was able to get shots of... nothing. Which is suppose was the idea. Just doesn't make for good pictures or TV.
